Current Research
My research interests include legal geography, environmental history, landscape studies, and cartography. My dissertation investigates the legal and environmental history of contested mineral rights to the Missouri riverbed in western North Dakota.

As a Ph.D. Fellow at Midwest Environmental Advocates, I work with staff attorneys to develop public guides and digital map resources about environmental justice issues across the state of Wisconsin. As an editor at Edge Effects, I have led two content series: the Indigenous Lands and Waters Series and Ground Truths Series. Finally, through the University of Wisconsin-Madison Cartography Lab, I create original maps and conduct GIS data analysis for faculty in the Geography Department and the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.

Professional Affiliations
I am a board member of the Legal Geography subgroup of the American Association of Geographers, as well as a member of the Law and Society Association. Please see my CV for a list of conference presentations.
